Lisa's Shine a Light 3 Year CANCERversary Celebration Fundraiser
Let's celebrate! I'm beating the odds. I had a 3-5% chance at living one year. Here we are 3 years later! I was diagnosed with stage iv non small cell lung cancer caused by the EGFR mutation in August, 2015. Since then I have been on three different targeted therapies to keep my cancer at bay. Two of those drugs were FDA approved in 2015. Think about that. If I were diagnosed earlier, these treatments would not have been available to me. Please help me fund innovative research for a cure and help people like me across the country impacted by lung cancer. Who knows? My next treatment could be in development now.
I'm lucky to be alive. I've been through a lot in the last 12 months. And I've done it all with stage iv lung cancer.
Lung Cancer Alliance is the organization that sponsored my trip to Capitol Hill/Washington, D.C. They wrote The Women's and Lung Cancer Research and Preventive Services Act. They are the ones making a difference for my future and my chances to keep beating the odds. #saveherlungs Thank you--Lisa Moran
